Roller blinds in Bali run anywhere from a few hundred thousand rupiah for a simple manual blind to well over a million for a motorised blackout system. What Actually Drives the Price
Window Size
Pricing is broadly per window, but a 3-metre-wide living room window costs more than a small bathroom window — more fabric, a heavier tube and sometimes a larger motor. Very wide windows may need an intermediate bracket.
Fabric & System
A plain screen fabric is the cheapest; blackout with side channels and a cassette headrail costs more because there are more components. Special-order colours add to both price and lead time.
Motorisation
The biggest single price jump. A motor, transformer and remote add roughly IDR 600,000–900,000 per blind over manual; WiFi and smart-home motors more. See motorised vs manual for where it's worth it.
Location & Hardware
Coastal installations need marine-grade stainless hardware, a modest premium that roughly triples service life near the sea. Outdoor and exposed positions also need wind-rated guides and higher-IP motors.
Whole-Villa Budgeting
To plan a full villa, it helps to think in windows. A typical two-bedroom villa might have 8–12 windows. Fitted with quality manual blinds — blackout in the bedrooms, screen fabric in the living areas — you're often looking at roughly IDR 4–7 million in total. The same villa fully motorised can run IDR 12–20 million or more. That's why we usually suggest the hybrid approach: motorise the handful of windows you use daily or can't easily reach, and keep good manual blinds elsewhere. You get most of the convenience for a fraction of the cost.
